wordpress has a really nice online graphic standards site for their users. i love the design and how easy it is to use. really nice inspiration for anyone building a site that requires putting brand standards and their logo online.

it's interesting to see how branding has changed, based off context. for example, what red means in print is totally different from what it means when viewed on the web. the photo above was something i came across on coroflot's blog. i thought it was interesting to see different companies with their colors being ranked.
the question is, what does this color mean to you?

so i've been invited by one of my friends to do a dragon boat race this year. i figure i should try it out since i haven't done anything really physical or social over the last year. let me know if you're interested! would love to do it with you! here's what the invite looks like:
Date: May 16-17, 2009
Time: Whole day event
Place: Georgetown/Kennedy Center waterfront
Commitments: 3 practice sessions (TBD)
Fee: $60/each (including team jersey)
Race info: DCdragonboat.com
