AddThis Blog Refresh

Here's a sneak peak of the AddThis blog refresh. Let me know what you think of the new design.

Imitation is...

the sincerest form of flattery. Here's my original post about e-mailit.com. What do you think?

Can't stop looking...

This is just pure eye candy. Love those lines.

Two heads, one body.

Somehow I missed the Opra show in 1996 that featured Abigail and Brittany Hensel. What an unusual challenge... there are just so many questions. Here's a video of them. According to wikipedia, they're now 20 years old.

Update: Here is their facebook page.

Porsche Cayman S.

As I grow older, I find myself liking Porsche more. While there are plenty of cars that can go faster from 0-60, there are not that many cars that just look this sexy. Aside from the beautiful lines, the performance, there's just a mystique about it.

But when is the right time to have your dream car? There's just something appealing about driving around a fun car when you're younger. My aunt summed it up in one word--it's "distinguishing". o_O What do you think of the Porsche Cayman S?

Courier, for mac.

I love how everything's one page. Nice design! Check it out here.

Strike a pose.

I don't know what it is, but I've seen more women (all of which are friends I respect) posing in their Facebook photos. The two things I notice immediately are a) Arm on Waist, and b) Perky Lips. Is anyone else noticing this trend? What's going through their minds when they snap a pose?

Just a disclaimer... the women pictured above are not actually my friends. It's just a random photo I found on google images to illustrate the pose.

Stay crunchy.

I've been listening to Ronald Jenkees lately. This is my favorite song by him. Check out the album version of "Stay Crunchy". Enjoy!

Vertical jump training.

I've been playing volleyball for about 5-6 months now, and I've improved. But, I need a new edge, so I've started doing some leg training this weekend. Squats, jumping with weights, and calf raises. In addition to loosing weight, hopefully this will help with my vertical jump.

Ps. I don't really want my legs to look like the picture on the left...

495 traffic sucks.

Why does traffic have to suck so bad around Northern Virginia? It's 4pm, and 495 already looks like a parking lot. I feel bad that Annie had to drive down through this crap.

Hong Kong Trends: Coke Light

In addition to "Diet", "Zero", and "Classic", Coke has another label, "Light, with Lemon". While this isn't the wildest thing I saw in Hong Kong, I couldn't help but to ask "what's the difference"? My cousins couldn't really answer, so I asked Google...

"Coca-Cola Zero provides real Coca-Cola taste for variety-seeking consumers. Coca-Cola Zero is sweetened with a blend of low-calorie sweeteners, while Diet Coke is sweetened with aspartame. As for Coke/Coca-Cola light, in certain countries, the term "diet" is not used to describe low-calorie foods and beverages. In these countries, we offer Coke/Coca-Cola light. The sweetener blend used for Coke/Coca-Cola light is formulated for each country based on consumer preference." - Coke

I didn't try it. I prefer Coca-cola classic. No diet stuff for me.

Hong Kong Trip Photos, Food with Heads

Sorry I've been slow about blogging and putting photos up from my trip. I've been getting caught up on things here. I'll be posting up photos of highlights from my short trip.

To kick things off, here are photos of delicious food served with the head. It grosses out some people in the US, but it's totally normal for asians to serve food with the head. Here are some photos: (thanks to my family in Hong Kong for all the fine dining)

Does this gross you out, or make your mouth water?

How white is your city? (Data Visualization)

"Ever wonder just how segregated your city is? Photographer Eric Fischer might have an answer. Inspired by cartographer Bill Rankin’s recent maps charting Chicago’s racial segregation, Fischer decided to make a few maps of his own. The maps, which include dozens of cities, show just how enduring racial stratification continues to be in this country." - colorlines.com

While some people are really surprised, I'm not. I guess being a minority in the US gives me a different perspective. According to wikipedia, 75% of the US is white, 15.4% is hispanic/latino, 12.4% black, and 4.4% asian. Hat tip: Charlie

Red = White | Blue = Black | Green = Asian | Orange = Latin

Left: Detroit, Right: Chicago

See more cities on the photographer's flickr page.

Hong Kong

I just got back from Hong Kong... I'll be putting up photos and videos soon.

Play Volleyball with your Feet.

I've been playing a lot of Volleyball recently, and I heard about Sepaktakraw (Volleyball with your feet). Check out this video... it's crazy to see people do bicycle kicks. Hat tip: Darren
