started a new painting... i'm going to start a new series soon. i think my next set of paintings will be much more experimental. i had a small breakthrough when i started this one. unfortunately, it was difficult to duplicate, so i ended painting over it.
here's the original painting (totally sucked). it made a nice background texture. the reds actually show through, which gave the new layer a nice saturation.
